Frame Sliders
Congratulations! You have just purchased the world’s finest frame sliders. These sliders have been designed to offer unsurpassed protection to your motorcycle in the unfortunate event of a crash or tip over.
Important: Please read all instructions before beginning work! These Frame Sliders are designed to fit specific engine mounts of your motorcycle. It is highly recommended that you refer to your service manual before performing this installation.
The use of a quality 6-point socket is recommended.
Instructions:
1. Locate the front lower engine mount.
2. Loosen the pinch bolts on both sides.
3. Remove the right-side engine mount nut.
4. Remove the through bolt, out the left hand side.
5. From the left side, insert the stud with the nut installed through the slider, then the adapter (flat side against the slider) into the engine mount. Feed the stud all the way through the engine mount.
6. Install the second adapter on the right side, then the slider. Tighten using the supplied flange nut. Non-permanent thread lock compound should be used.
7. Tighten to the factory specifications - DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
8. Tighten the pinch bolts on each side to the factory specifications.
FAIRING MODIFICATIONS
It is suggested that you drill a small pilot hole to locate the engine mount. Once you have found the center, use a hole saw and cut a hole approximately 1 7/8” in diameter. Edges can be filed for perfect fit, or inaccuracies in drilling. We have found that placing masking tape on the area helps protect from scratches, cracks, etc.
