Frame Sliders
Congratulations! You have just purchased the world’s finest frame sliders. These sliders have been designed to offer unsurpassed protection to your motorcycle in the unfortunate event of a crash or tip over.
Important: These Frame Sliders are designed to fit specific engine mounts of your motorcycle. This kit has separate left and right pieces (left and right while sitting on the bike). Both sides mount directly to the engine mounts. The longer slider (4.60”) is to be used with the 90mm bolt on the left side. It is highly recommended that you refer to your service manual before performing this installation. It is also recommended that a non-permanent thread lock compound be used.
Instructions:
1. Remove the left-side engine mount bolt, (be careful not to drop the nut on the inside).
2. Install the longer slider using the shorter (90mm) bolt and flat washer supplied in this kit. Use the Nylock nut provided.
3. Tighten the engine mount bolt to the factory specifications. - DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN (you may need to hold the nut from behind).
4. Remove the right side engine mount bolt, (be careful not to drop the nut on the inside).
5. Install the shorter piece of plastic using the 10 x 120mm (longer) bolt and flat washer supplied in this kit. Align the slider so the cut out clears the fairing. (You may need to put the slider in place then insert the bolt and washer through the slider and finally into the engine mount). Use the Nylock nut provided.
6. Tighten the engine mount bolt to the factory specifications. Hold the slider firmly while tightening. - DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. (You may need to hold the nut from behind).
