Frame Sliders

Congratulations! You have just purchased the world’s finest frame sliders. These sliders have been designed to offer unsurpassed protection to your motorcycle in the unfortunate event of a crash or tip over. 

Important: These Frame Sliders are designed to fit specific engine mounts of your motorcycle.  This kit has separate left and right pieces (left and right while sitting on the bike).  It is highly recommended that you refer to your service manual before performing this installation. It is also recommended that a non-permanent thread lock compound be used.

Instructions:

1.   Remove the mid fairing panel on both sides.

2.     Remove the left-side frame mount bolt (middle mount – small center portion of the frame).

3.     Install the left side adapter bracket (shorter spud) with the new 12 x 70 bolt, rotating it to the 4 o’clock position.

4.     Tighten the engine mount bolt to the factory specifications - DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.

5.     Install the slider on the bracket and tighten fully. (Be sure to use a thread lock).

6.     Remove the right side engine mount bolt (middle mount – small center portion of the frame). *Note: it may be necessary to loosen the bolt that holds the wiring ground and rotate it slightly higher.

7.     Install the right adapter (longer spud) using the new 12 x 90mm bolt supplied in this kit. Align the bracket to the 8 o’clock position.

8.     Tighten the engine mount bolt to the factory specifications - DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.

9.     Install the slider on the bracket and align the notch to the fairing, tighten fully. (Be sure to use a thread lock).

        · 1 - 12 x 70mm (left)

        · 1 - 12 x 90mm (right)

        · 1 - 10 x 50mm (slider to adapter)

        · 1 - 10 x 45mm (slider to adapter)
