Frame Sliders
Congratulations! You have just purchased the world’s finest frame sliders. These sliders have been designed to offer unsurpassed protection to your motorcycle in the unfortunate event of a crash or tip over.
Important: Please read all instructions before beginning work! These frame sliders are designed to fit specific engine mounts of your motorcycle. It is highly recommended that you refer to your service manual before performing this installation.
Instructions:
1. Remove the mid fairing panel on both sides.
2. Remove the left side middle engine mount bolt (located on the small frame spar that connects the main frame to the front down spar).
3. Mount the slider by inserting the new bolt and washer (provided) through the slider and into the engine mount.
4. Tighten to the factory specifications - DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
5. Remove the right side middle engine mount bolt. *Note the spacer location between the frame and the engine.
6. Mount the slider with the new bolt and washer (provided) through the frame and spacer and into the engine mount. *Note: it may be necessary to loosen the bolt that holds the wires and rotate the wires slightly higher.
7. Tighten to the factory specifications - DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
FAIRING MODIFICATIONS
It is suggested that you drill a small pilot hole to locate the engine mount. Once you have found the center, use a hole saw and cut a hole approximately 1 7/8” in diameter. Edges can be filed for perfect fit, or inaccuracies in drilling. We have found that placing masking tape on the area helps protect from scratches, cracks, etc.
