Frame Sliders
Congratulations! You have just purchased the world’s finest frame sliders. These sliders have been designed to offer unsurpassed protection to your motorcycle in the unfortunate event of a crash or tip over.
Important: Please read all instructions before beginning work! These Frame Sliders are designed to fit specific engine mounts of your motorcycle. This kit has separate left and right pieces (left and right while sitting on the bike). It is highly recommended that you refer to your service manual for torque values and other pertinent information before performing this installation. It is also recommended that a non-permanent thread lock compound be used.
Instructions:
1. Remove both the left and right mid-fairing pieces.
2. Remove the left-side engine mount bolt (midway down the main frame at the widest point).
3. Install the left adapter bracket (longer spud) with the 10 x 60mm bolt supplied in this kit. Align the bracket between the 3 to 4 o’clock position, and tighten snugly.
4. Install the slider on the bracket and tighten fully, the slider will rest against the rubber hose. (Be sure to use a thread lock compound).
5. Test fit the fairing for clearance, then tighten the engine mount bolt to the factory specifications - DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.
6. Remove the right side engine mount bolt (same location as the left side).
7. Install the right adapter (shorter spud) using the 10 x 80mm bolt supplied in this kit. Align the bracket to the 8 o’clock position, and tighten snugly.
8. Install the slider on the bracket and tighten fully. (Be sure to use a thread lock compound).
9. Test fit the fairing for clearance, and tighten the engine mount bolt to the factory specifications - DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.
10. Re-install the mid-fairing pieces.
