Frame Sliders
Congratulations! You have just purchased the world’s finest frame sliders. These sliders have been designed to offer unsurpassed protection to your motorcycle in the unfortunate event of a crash or tip over.
Important: These Frame Sliders are designed to fit specific engine mounts of your motorcycle. This kit has separate left and right pieces (left and right while sitting on the bike). Both sides mount directly to the engine mounts. It is highly recommended that you refer to your service manual before performing this installation. It is also recommended that a non-permanent thread lock compound be used.
Instructions:
1. Remove the left-side engine mount bolt, (be careful not to drop the nut on the inside).
2. Install the adapter (Leave it slightly loose at this time). You will need to rotate it to clear the fairing. Install the slider to the bracket, using the 50mm bolt supplied in this kit. Test fit the fairing panel and adjust the adapter to clear the fairing panel if necessary.
3. Tighten the engine mount bolt to the factory specifications. - DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN (you may need to hold the nut from behind).
4. Remove the right side engine mount bolt, (be careful not to drop the nut on the inside).
5. Install the piece of plastic with the recessed bushing using the 110mm (longer) bolt supplied in this kit. Place the thick washer through the bolt, then through the slider. Align the slider so the cut out clears the fairing.
6. Tighten the engine mount bolt to the factory specifications. Hold the slider firmly while tightening. - DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. (You may need to hold the nut from behind).
